Warranty

Updated 16.6.2026 · Valid until further notice

1. Warranty Coverage

The electric scooters and other products we sell are covered by a manufacturer's or importer's warranty, which covers material and manufacturing defects under normal use. The exact content of the warranty may vary by brand and model, and is specified in the product information.

The warranty covers the repair or replacement of a defective part. We always aim for a fast and smooth warranty process.

2. Warranty Period

The warranty for electric scooters is typically 2 years, unless otherwise stated in connection with the product. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase, and the validity of the warranty is evidenced by the purchase receipt or order confirmation.

A shorter warranty period may apply to some parts, such as the battery (see section 4).

3. Warranty Limitations

The warranty does not cover the following:

  • Normal wear and tear and consumable parts (tires, brake pads, brushes, etc.).
  • Damage caused by improper use, overloading, or negligence.
  • Bumps, drops, water damage, or other external damage.
  • Self-made modifications, repairs, or the use of non-original parts.
  • Defects resulting from use contrary to operating instructions or maintenance instructions.

4. Battery and Consumable Parts

The battery is a consumable part whose capacity naturally decreases with use and charging cycles. The battery warranty covers manufacturing defects but not the normal decrease in capacity. The battery warranty period is often shorter than the rest of the device's warranty – check model-specific information.

Tires, inner tubes, brake pads, and other consumable parts are not covered by the warranty for normal wear and tear. You can easily find these parts in the Spare Parts section.

5. Making a Warranty Claim

If you suspect a defect in your product that is covered by the warranty, proceed as follows:

  • Contact info@sahkoskuutit.fi and provide your order number and a description of the defect.
  • Include any photos or videos showing the defect.
  • We will provide instructions for shipping the product for service or resolving the defect.

We handle warranty matters promptly and will contact you with a solution.

6. Consumer Rights

The warranty is a voluntary additional benefit provided by the manufacturer or seller and does not limit the rights of the consumer under the Consumer Protection Act. The seller's liability for a product defect may extend beyond the warranty period according to the expected lifespan of the product.

If we cannot reach an agreement on the matter, you can submit the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board for consideration. Before contacting the board, please contact consumer advisory services.
